Operations

• You will be contacted the day prior to your procedure regarding hospital arrival times and fasting times. Although every effort is made to minimise the delays to surgery and to reduce the duration of fasting prior to your procedure, precise operation times cannot be predicted in all circumstances. For this reason we suggest you bring some reading material with you to hospital.
• Ensure all hospital paperwork is completed prior to arrival at the hospital. Failure to do so may result in your procedure being cancelled.
• Patients undertaking day-surgical procedures will not be able to drive home after the operation. You will require a responsible adult to drive you home and to assist you overnight.
